Head up to Whidbey Island for a one-of-a-kind Northwest day trip! Meet artist Claudia Pettis at Mutiny Bay Farm — view exquisite sculptures in her contemporary studio with green roof and pasture views and be charmed by the rare Black Welsh Mountain sheep grazing open orchards and tidelands of the 87-acre farm. A fantastic lunch features organic rosemary herbed farm raised lamb, homemade lamb sausage, locally gathered fruits and vegetables, and new vintages of Whidbey Island wines and cheeses. The 1925-acquired Farm Estate is located on Mutiny Bay facing the Olympic Mountains. From the homestead, the tour moves to nearby meditation parkland, Earth Sanctuary, with founder Chuck Pettis, as you experience nature integrated with art in a restored 72-acre forest sited with stone circles, labyrinth and dolmen.
Restrictions: One day only: Saturday, October 9, 2010, from noon to 4:00pm; transportation not provided.
Thank you: Chuck and Claudia Pettis.
